Shukr
“And remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.”
— Surah Al-Baqarah 2:152
Shukr is the practice of being thankful to Allah for all the blessings, big and small, in our lives. It is not only about saying “thank you,” but also showing appreciation through our actions, obedience, and good character. A person who practices Shukr recognizes that everything comes from Allah, avoids taking favors for granted, and shares kindness and generosity with others. Gratitude brings peace, contentment, and barakah to our lives, strengthens our faith, and draws us closer to Allah.
